More Than a Spreadsheet

Hemlock Public School District in 2026 is not the same school district it was a decade ago.

That was intentional.

Over the last ten years, we have expanded STEM and robotics, Early Middle College, Advanced Placement courses, performing arts, curriculum resources, intervention and student support, technology, safety and security, athletics, extracurricular opportunities, and career and college pathways.

We have also strengthened curriculum and instructional leadership and increased support for the teachers and principals doing the work every day.

All of that requires resources.

So, when comparing Hemlock today to Hemlock ten years ago, the question shouldn't simply be whether we invest more today.

A better question is:
What opportunities do our students have today that they didn't have ten years ago?

Because that is a story worth telling.

The Huskies are back!

And what a first day it was. Big smiles, a couple of dance parties, coloring, lots of laughter, plenty of hugs and the simple joy of being together again.

There’s something special about the first day of a new school year. New beginnings. New goals. New opportunities to learn, grow and discover what we’re capable of.

We’re so glad you’re here, Huskies. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead.

What a great visit from the ladies of the Hemlock Class of 1964.

This amazing group returned to campus for a tour and had a chance to see firsthand just how much Hemlock has grown and changed over the years. From Wallace Field to the new Performing Arts Center, there was plenty to see, plenty of stories to share, and plenty of memories along the way.

More than 60 years after walking these halls as students, they are still proud Huskies and still connected to the school and community they helped shape.

We absolutely loved having them back on campus. Once a Huskie, always a Huskie.
