15-0-1 WHAT A SEASON FOR HEMLOCK BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

The Hemlock Huskies wrapped up an INCREDIBLE regular season with a 4-1 victory over Bad Axe, finishing with an outstanding 15-0-1 record!

That's right! 15 WINS. ZERO LOSSES. ONE TIE.

What a tremendous accomplishment for these student-athletes and coaches! The hard work, determination, teamwork, and commitment to excellence have been on full display all season long.

This team has given our school and community plenty to cheer about, and the best part? THE POSTSEASON IS NEXT!

Congratulations to Coach Hyatt, our players, and the entire soccer program on a remarkable regular season. You've represented Hemlock with class, pride, and that unmistakable Huskie spirit!

UNDEFEATED IN THE REGULAR SEASON. HUNGRY FOR MORE.

Let's keep it rolling, Huskies! Next stop, districts next Wednesday, October 14th at home.

This episode of Over the Shoulder is about more than wins and losses. It is about building a program.

I caught up with Coach Hyatt, Landon Wardin, and Charlie Hyatt to talk about an incredibly successful season and, more importantly, the work behind it.

They share the story of where the program has been, how far it has come, and what happens when coaches and student-athletes commit to putting in the work, believing in each other, and building something together.

Now they get a chance to keep writing that story right here at home.

A Great Day for Hemlock

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two outstanding Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce award recipients with strong Hemlock connections.

McNalley Furniture and Office Supplies, led locally by Lindsay McNalley Kerry, was honored with the Outstanding Small Business Award.

McNalley has been much more than a vendor to Hemlock Public School District. They have been a trusted community partner, helping us create functional, welcoming, and student-centered spaces while consistently demonstrating what it means to invest in the communities you serve. Lindsay also continues to give back to Hemlock through her service on our Board of Education and throughout the community.

Greg Turner and Pumford Construction were recognized with the Dr. Samuel H. Shaheen Vision of Free Enterprise Award.

Pumford's connection to Hemlock goes well beyond construction projects. Greg has been a relationship builder, problem solver, community champion, and tremendous partner in helping turn big ideas into reality. From the Lockwood STEM Center to our most recent facility improvements, Greg and the Pumford team have repeatedly demonstrated that great partnerships are about more than bricks and mortar. They are about investing in people and communities.

These awards recognize two businesses and leaders who understand something we value deeply in Hemlock. Strong communities are built when people step forward, work together, and invest in something bigger than themselves.

Congratulations to Lindsay McNalley Kerry and the McNalley team, and to Greg Turner and the entire Pumford Construction team.

Well deserved. We are proud to have you as part of the Huskie Pack and even more proud to call you friends and partners.
