Why Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy?

They have a connection to our world of autism. Jenny has a son, Evan who is about Jakob’s age and he has the diagnosis. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting him. He’s a sweet, loving guy with a big personality and a positive attitude. Jenny has fought hard for him, and he’s exceeding the expectations placed upon him so long ago.

And a few years back, Donnie and Jenny produced a documentary, “Spellers”. It’s about others like Jakob who communicate in the same way he does. It’s opening eyes and changing lives.

They are doing the same work to help people that we are trying to do, just on a much larger scale.

We admire them.

You will see why here.

Jakob spelled a message to them. In the middle of a crowded bar filled with people who came to meet them, they take time for Jakob. They are present. They are kind and encouraging.

They are simply good people in a world that isn’t always good and kind to families like ours.

For moments like these, that mean so incredibly much, especially to Jakob, we are
forever grateful.💙
