Seventeen years ago, the Castle Country Acting Company started out as a simple dream. Back in 2009, Caitie Iverson founded this company as a young, 20-something stay-at-home mom who just wanted to bring the magic of theater to local children. Emily Bishoff Sanders jumped on board a few years later, and together we’ve spent years of summers, late nights, laughter & tears, endless amounts of paint & cardboard, and countless sessions writing original scripts.
Watching hundreds of kids find their confidence, their voices, and their friends on our stage has been the absolute ride of a lifetime! It always makes us happy to run into former cast members. Many are now adults with families of their own!
But every great story has a final chapter. After a lot of love and reflection, we’ve decided that this current summer production is going to be our final season. The Castle Country Acting Company will be officially closing its curtains after the final bow of this show.
We broke the news to our amazing cast tonight, and while there were definitely some tears, we are just so incredibly grateful. Thank you to every single parent, volunteer, audience member, and actor who has been part of this wild, beautiful journey. Let’s make this last week one for the history books!
Because this is our grand finale, we want to go out with a bang, and we would absolutely love to see a packed, full house for our final run!
