The O’Connor Band is looking to hire an Assistant Band Director!

The OC Band extends its congratulations to Mr. Valdez on his appointment as the new Head Band Director at O’Connor H.S. Having served as Assistant Director for the past 8 years, he is excited to continue providing support to all band students in the upcoming year. ☺️

Today is UIL State solo and Ensemble and OC is well represented! Good luck to our participants performing today!!! ☺️

The OC Wind Ensemble had a tremendous concert today at the Tobin Center! They represented our school and community at the highest level and performed an outstanding set. Thank you all for showing love to our students this year; we appreciate all the positivity from those who truly support us. With this finale performance done, it is officially time for OC Band summer ☺️💙

Our banquet was so much fun! What a great way to reflect on and appreciate the hard work of our kids and honor our graduating seniors!

Thank you to all the amazing parents who helped put the banquet together! Also, thank you to the Zender family for stepping up and providing a photo booth for our students and helping create awesome memories for them! 💙

What a blast at the Cornyval parade today!!! Congrats to our seniors for completing their final marching event and to our incoming freshmen for participating in their first one! ☺️

The OC Band proudly presents their 2026 program [UN]rest. Our show will take audiences from pleasant sleep into the tension filled space between rest and the body’s need to wake up, a space often filled with distortion, blurriness and uncertainty. Our music includes:
