Umatilla County Fair 2026

Lily had a great last UCF with her market lamb! She competed for Helix FFA in livestock judging, herdsmanship, record books, market animal, showmanship, and dairy judging. We are so proud of you Lily!! One more show left to wrap up her time showing animals for Helix FFA. She will show at the Pendleton Jr Livestock Show on September 26th.

John and Wyatt had a great time attempting the Calf Dressing Competition as well!

A huge THANK YOU to Elmers Irrigation for giving free rodeo tickets to the students as well as sponsoring the Calf Dressing Competition!

EOLS 2026

Olivia and Lily had a fantastic show this year in Union! Banners, ribbons, and experiences that will last a lifetime.

Lily: showed and sold her lamb, kept her pen and tack area clean enough to earn herself first place herdsmanship(the award for keeping things tidy and neat), and help towards the overall herdsmanship award!

Olivia: showed and sold her hog, received reserved champion middle weight FFA hog, and did exceptionally well in her showmanship classes!

We are proud of these two ladies!

Successful time at MFJS for Helix FFA! We had an advanced and beginning livestock judging team, a goat showman and pig showman.

Plant Sale is happening right now! We have these handmade planter boxes for sale as well. We will be here until 7pm today and from 8am-12pm tomorrow (Saturday).

Tomorrow is the day! We will be opening the greenhouse at 3:30pm on Friday, May 1st for the plant sale. We will be accepting cash, check, or card. We have veggie starts, strawberries, flowers, sedums, foliage, hanging baskets, and handmade wood planter boxes. We hope to see you there!

7th-9th grade Ag Students got to go to Minthorn Springs Fish Hatchery today! We got to learn from ODFW and CTUIR biologists, technicians, and others who work in our area. Releasing the salmon we have been raising in the classroom since December was a plus! A huge thank you to Graham Banks with the Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council for organizing this opportunity for us.
