An exciting partnership with Lewis & Clark Literacy Council started for Jefferson this week! Book Pals has officially made its way to Jefferson!
The Book Pals program launched in 2018 to partners with Helena Schools and bring the joy of reading to elementary students! While it used to be offered to only a few schools, the L&C Literacy Council has now expanded the program district-wide!
Their main goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading through wonderfully supportive mentorship. As their Book Pal guide puts it: “A child may not remember every book you read together, but they will remember how they felt sitting beside you- the feeling that someone believed in them, made time for them, and enjoyed stories with them.”
