Laura's Reading Toolkit Laura Gerlach, Literacy Tele-Therapist with Lexercise shares the tools for reading & writing success. "We become a team" to reach success.

Laura Gerlach works with people with Dyslexia through the Lexercise online platform. Laura teaches struggling readers of all ages providing the tools to build their skills in reading, spelling, comprehension and writing using the skills they learn to build their toolkit of success. Laura tells her students they must first be happy to be fully engaged in the process, "there are no wrong answers, it is my responsibility to keep you engaged, understand the process and alleviate confusion". Laura Gerlach also created the reading series Hop On Reading. A brand new reading series for young struggling readers. A family of characters created by illustrator and artist Patti O'Hare Williams, engage the readers through the pages by providing humor and encouragement. Based on the Orton-Gillingham Structured Language framework, these books are designed to develop strong reading skills for all struggling readers. The illustrations are a perfect stimulator for the sometimes tedious task of learning the written code.

Just received this message from one of my Lexercise Basic Therapy parents:
### completed her EOG's this morning. She did extremely well (above average) on the reading comprehension portion. Spelling was average (but not below as she has been in the past). I think she has gained much confidence in her abilities due to this program. Thank you!
