The general education classes are aligned with the Montana University System core for maximum transferability and the Fire classes are designed so qualified adult learners can do them on an accelerated schedule. Our Fire 131 Apparatus and Hydraulics students have been taking advantage of the good weather to practice drafting and supplying sprinkler systems. We love having our Helena College Fire Program alumni back as Instructors! Paramedic Nick Burkland (HC Fire '17) is our lead EMT Instructor. We also appreciate Paramedic Paul Field (HC Fire '18), and AEMT Becca Dorsey (HC Fire '18) helping teach our EMT students.

This week our first-year students in Hazardous Materials class checked out what it's like to don a Level A total encapsulating suit.

2nd year students are working on low angle rope rescue in preparation for Firefighter II certification exams. Chilly but sunny day to practice in the shadow of the Elkhorn Mountains.
