Watch local vocalists receive one-on-one coaching while gaining insight into vocal technique, musical interpretation, and the art of performance. Whether you're a singer, musician, theatre enthusiast, or simply love live music, this is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the field's leading professionals.

After graduating in 2023 with a degree in Civil Engineering Broadfield and a minor in Business Administration, Colin Sassano now works as a Civil Engineering Designer at Robert Peccia & Associates in Helena, helping design and improve water and wastewater systems that serve communities across Montana.

Looking back, Colin says Carroll's liberal arts foundation gave him an advantage in his first year after graduation. Beyond technical coursework, he found that the emphasis on communication, writing, and collaboration helped him stand out in the civil engineering field. He also credits the entire Carroll community, including teammates, coaches, professors, and classmates, for helping shape the person he is today.

"Carroll was and continues to be a blessing in my life. I was able to live out a dream of playing college athletics, get a great education, meet my future wife, build lifelong friendships, and create countless memories. The culture at Carroll encourages excellence in all aspects of life, and being a part of that culture played a significant role in shaping the person I am today."

As Carroll College gets ready to welcome students back on August 26, it's a good time to look back at where it all began.

Founded in 1909 as Mount St. Charles College, the school welcomed President William Howard Taft that same year to lay the cornerstone of St. Charles Hall. The campus then welcomed its first students in September 1910, and just six years later, celebrated its first graduating class. In 1932, the school's name was changed to Carroll College in honor of its founder, Bishop John Patrick Carroll.

More than a century later, Carroll College remains a defining part of Helena's history and continues to shape the city's future, one class at a time. 🎓

ACNU Nurse Pinning Ceremony & Celebration Join us as we celebrate our Accelerated Nursing Class of 2026 at a Pinning/Recognition ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 in the Upper Campus Center. A reception with cake and a champagne toast will follow the ceremony.

Looking for a meaningful way to serve the Carroll College community? 🤝

We're hiring dependable, service-oriented individuals to join our Special Events Team (SET)! 💜 As a member of the SET team, you'll help create a safe, welcoming environment during athletic events, campus celebrations, and other special events. Responsibilities include event safety, guest services, crowd management, traffic and parking coordination, and supporting emergency response efforts.

This is a part-time, as-needed position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Previous experience in security, public safety, event operations, or customer service is helpful, but not required.

🐢From protecting nesting sea turtles along the beaches of southeast Florida to inspiring the next generation of conservationists, Carroll alumna Hailey Boisvert '23 is putting her passion for wildlife to work every day.

Hailey currently works as an Environmental Monitor for Ecological Associates Inc., monitoring beaches for nesting activity of loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles.

Hailey chose Carroll for its unique Anthrozoology program and welcoming community. As a first-generation college graduate, she found a place where she could thrive academically, build lifelong friendships, and gain the confidence to pursue graduate school and a meaningful career.

One experience at Carroll changed everything.

"My wildlife conservation course in Costa Rica, led by Dr. Suthers, opened a huge door for me. I originally planned to pursue small animal medicine, but that course made me recognize my passion for conservation. It ultimately led me to where I am today. Thank you, Dr. Suthers, for being such an amazing instructor and role model."

Outside the classroom, Hailey found some of her favorite memories working alongside the animals in the Anthrozoology program, especially training Cooper, her Anthrozoology dog.

"Cooper taught me so much about myself and even influenced my decision to get an Australian Cattle Dog. Working with the dogs and horses during my classes brought so much comfort."

Her advice to future Saints?

"If you're considering Carroll College, you should definitely go. There are so many wonderful opportunities, and there have been even more exciting upgrades since I graduated just a few years ago. Even if you aren't planning to major in Anthrozoology, I recommend taking a few classes. The human-animal relationship is fascinating, and you never know where it might lead. You may discover a career you never expected."

All sea turtle work described above is conducted by permitted personnel under Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Marine Turtle Permit (MTP) 26-010.
