Brad Carroll College Anthrozoology Dog

The Canine Good Citizen Test or CGC through the American Kennel Club is a process to ensure owners are responsible for their dogs and have taught basic manners. The CGC test includes 10 parts which can be found in the second picture as well as the responsibility portion for the owner/trainer. Everything we do with our dogs in this program is a partnership. Merry Christmas🎄🎅🏼✨Apparently it’s the time of year people bring trees in the house?!?

Hey Guys! I know you are used to seeing me in green but I have been promoted to a yellow bandanna! 💛💚This yellow bandanna means I can explore more of campus and further my training in the campus center, scola, and the new library when it’s ready! I worked hard and was assessed on skills like loose leash walking in a crowded area, settling under a table uninterrupted for 3 min, greeting a stranger, waiting while my human talks with a stranger, and staying calm around other dogs. This was not easy but I’m doing so good and my training is showing off!

Brad made some major accomplishments these past few weeks in his training! Brad earned his yellow bandanna giving him more privileges on campus and passed his CGC test! What does that look like?🤔stay tuned for more educational content through December!
