Weโre back! With a new name and department, but the same focus on collecting solid data for land management applications. The Ecological Mapping, Monitoring and Analysis group (EMMA) at the University of Montanaโs OโConnor Center for the Rocky Mountain West is heading into the field throughout the grasslands and shrublands of the West this week. Wish us good weather and productive days ahead!

A quick visit to the Snake River Plain north of Mud Lake, ID reveals lots of gems to be found in the sagebrush!
Long-nosed leopard lizard (I think), Grayia spinosa (spiny hopsage) and Tetradymia canescens (horsebrush)
