Thank you, thank you, thank you for the two wonderful concerts this week. It truly fills my heart to get to make music with all of you. Both performances felt special, and it was clear the audiences were deeply touched by what you shared.
I know last night’s space wasn’t the easiest, but your music meant so much to the folks at Kirkwood-by-the-River. You brought them joy, comfort, and a moment they’ll remember—and I’m so grateful.
I hope each of you has a happy, peaceful, and safe holiday season. Rest well, enjoy time with the people you love, and know how much I appreciate every single one of you. I can’t wait to see you again on January 4th.

And that’s a wrap for the 2024 Alabama Marching Championship! Many thanks to Ken Bodiford, Drew Ellis, Hal Murphy, Lori Hart, Stacy Harris, Dane Lawley, and Jill DeGaetano for making it such a great success!

Was also excited to catch up with some old friends including Rob Grice!

This was my high school band director. He taught me how to arrange the summer after I took music theory with the choir director, Harvey McClure “Mr.Mac.” Mr. Hickman guided me through my very first arrangement of “Silly Love Songs” that the band played in a halftime show my senior year!

Both of these men had a profound impact on my life and helped shape me into who I am today.

Celebration Winds had an AMAZING rehearsal yesterday. I can't even describe the incredible thrill of conducting this group every month!
