I originally had my brows tattooed 4 years ago, and over time the pigment naturally faded and turned slightly ashy

✨ Immediate Results vs Healed Results in Permanent Makeup ✨

One of the biggest things I like to educate clients on is the difference between fresh PMU and healed PMU.

Immediately after your appointment, your brows, lips, or eyeliner will appear darker, more defined, and sometimes slightly bolder than the final result. This is completely normal and part of the healing process.

As your skin heals over the next few weeks:

✔ The color will soften and lighten
✔ The strokes or shading will blend more naturally
✔ The overall look becomes much softer and more natural

Think of the immediate result as the “fresh ink phase.” Your skin is holding extra pigment and is slightly swollen, so everything appears stronger at first.

This is why healed results are always the true final result, usually around 4–6 weeks.

The goal with permanent makeup is beautiful, natural results once healed, not overly bold brows, lips, or eyeliner.

So if you see a photo of fresh PMU and think it looks dark — don’t worry. That’s just part of the process. ✨
