I originally had my brows tattooed 4 years ago, and over time the pigment naturally faded and turned slightly ashy

➡️ Photo 1: My brows before — 4 years old, faded and a bit ashy.
➡️ Photo 2: First step was neutralizing the cool/ashy tones to rebalance the pigment.
➡️ Photo 3: After correcting the tone, I was able to implant my new target color for a richer, balanced brow.

This is why color correction is sometimes necessary before refreshing brows. When done correctly, it keeps the healed results from turning gray or muddy.

Even as artists, we have to maintain our brows too. Good permanent makeup should fade naturally and be refreshable — not stay dark forever.
