🎗️💛 THE 3RD ANNUAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS BACKYARD BASH IS ALMOST HERE! 💛🎗️

September 5th • Hoops Bar & Grill •

This isn’t just an afternoon event anymore… we have an entire DAY packed with things to do, and whether you’re coming to play bags, win some incredible prizes, bring the kids, hang out with friends, or dance under the glow lights — there is truly something for everyone.

🔥 HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING:

🎯 11:00 AM — Bags Tournament Registration Opens
🏆 12:00 PM — Bags Tournament Begins

Then starting at 3:00 PM, the Backyard Bash REALLY gets going!

🥃 Liquor Pull (So far 75 bottles, Whiskey/Spirits/Wine
🎟️ Raffles & Big-Ticket Prizes
🥩 HUGE Premium Meat Raffle Packages (with a twist)
🎁 Grab Bag Wall (over 50 Ranging from $25.00-$250.00)

💌 Card Making (Will be bringing to the hospital after our Event)

🚔 4:00 PM — TOUCH-A-TRUCK!
We are so excited to welcome the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, CM Wiltberger II, Incwith a few of their HUGE Trucks, Skyline Steel Services Inc. and Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District for an awesome Touch-a-Truck experience for the kids and families!

🔥 6:30 PM — S’MORES BAR OPENS

✨ 7:00–8:00 PM — GLOW PARTY!
We’re closing out the night with lights, music, dancing and one BIG glow party!
🎶 And DJ BROOKELYN with DJ Felix Entertainment will be keeping the music, fun and energy going throughout the afternoon and evening!

Come early. Stay late. Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Make a day of it.

Play backyard games. Win prizes. Dance to the DJ. Try your luck at the raffles. Check out the trucks. Hit the bounce house. Make something with the kids. Grab a s’more. Then stick around and GLOW with us as the sun goes down. 💛

And while we’re having an incredible day together, we’ll also be raising awareness and critical funds to support children and teens courageously battling cancer and the families walking beside them.

Every raffle ticket. Every bags team. Every purchase. Every person who shows up helps Hope for Courage continue providing personalized Warrior Packages and meaningful support to families facing the unimaginable.

Because childhood cancer takes enough.
Childhood should still have laughter.
It should still have fun.
It should still have moments that feel normal.

And it should always have Hope. 💛

Today was an extra special day at Alden-Hebron Elementary as we welcomed back one of our incredible students!
She has shown so much strength, courage, and determination throughout her recovery. Her classmates greeted her outside, while the rest of the school lined the hallways wearing pink, her favorite color, to cheer her on and celebrate her return.

We are so proud of this strong fighter and all she has overcome. Welcome back! Your Giant family missed you, and we are so happy to have you home. 🩷

*** Monday 8/24 A Couple changes for this week. FS Football game has been moved to Oct. 12. HS Volleyball game scheduled for Tuesday at North Boone has been moved to Wednesday. We have picked up a Flag Football game vs. McHenry's JV for Tuesday at McCracken Field 6:00. MS Volleyball home on Tuesday vs. Hiawatha 4:30. Thursday HS Volleyball home vs. CLA 5:00. MS Volleyball at Harrison 4:00 all 3 levels. Friday HS Football home vs. Orangeville 7:00. Flag Football at Harvard 5:30. Saturday Flag Football home vs. Chicago Phillips 1:00. ***

📚 i-Ready testing begins next week!

Help your student feel prepared and ready to do their best by:

• Getting a good night’s sleep
• Eating a nutritious breakfast
• Arriving at school on time
• Bringing a fully charged device, if needed
• Taking their time and reading each question carefully
• Staying positive and giving their best effort

Please remind your student that testing is simply an opportunity to show what they know and how much they have grown. We are proud of our Giants and know they will do a GIANT job!

Please take a quick peek at your student’s lunch account and add funds if needed. Money can be added through EZSchool or dropped off at the school office by cash or check.
