All remaining races through Key West are booked! Full calendar. Full send. And honestly? That scares me more than any start line ever has.

Committing to a full 2026 season while simultaneously building new boats and recruiting new teams for 2027 is the hardest thing I've done in 25 years of racing. The pressure isn't the ocean anymore - it's the responsibility of growing something bigger than yourself and I'm inviting everyone in.

A cancelled race doesn't mean a quiet shop. Walk with me.

Race got scrubbed but the work doesn't stop. Right now we're going through every system on the boat. Re-checking rigging. Reviewing footage from practice runs with teams...Mikes Marine Care Team Shorgasm, As the Prop Turns. Talking with Race Engines about keeping the powerplant dialed. Coordinating with Constance Marina on logistics for the Clearwater date. Synergy Prototype Stamping LLC components getting inspected one more time. This is what race teams do between races. The boats don't rest just because the water said no.

You don't need to be fearless to race offshore. You need to be coachable.

Most people think offshore powerboat racing is only for adrenaline junkies with deep pockets (ok, well maybe)...Wrong!
Here's what actually matters when you're a rookie hitting open water for the first time.🌊

1. Listen to your coach (in our boats the throttleman). They've read thousands of waves you haven't.
2. Trust the boat before you trust your instincts. Your gut will say slow down. The boat wants to work.
3. Smooth inputs win races. Jerky hands lose them.

We just put two brand new racers through St. Clair and they came home with a first place trophy. Not because they were fearless. Because they were coachable.

I lost the friend who pulled me back into racing. Now I'm building everything we talked about without him.
Chris Reindl called me out of retirement. He believed I could repeat my national and world title 20 years later. I was too excited to say no. The next year he was gone. I never planned to own a boat company. Never planned to build race boats or start my own series. But when Chris died, something shifted. Every rookie I put in a cockpit. Every new racer who crosses a finish line. That's the conversation we never got to finish. This past weekend in St. Clair, we introduced two more rookies to offshore racing with one getting his first checkered flag. I wish he could've seen their faces. But I think he already knows.
