Hi TKA Supporters! πŸ‚πŸ

As the leaves start to change and we dive into all the fun fall activities here at TKA, we just have to pause and say... we truly have the absolute best parents, grandparents, and community in the world. The way you show up, offer support, and pour love into our program leaves us speechless time and time again. 🀍

As a non-profit, every single penny in our budget counts. While TKA covers as much as we can, our incredible staff members frequently step up to purchase extra cozy supplies, seasonal crafts, and classroom materials out of their own pockets to make autumn extra special for our kids.

A few of you have thoughtfully reached out asking how you can help us stock our classrooms for the fall season! We put together a wishlist with items that will help us keep the magic going.

If you’ve ever handed us a donation and said, "I know it’s not a lot," please know that to us, it IS a lot. Every single item and gesture makes a tangible difference in our day.

(P.S. If we’re ever a little slow with our thank-you’s during these busy, fun-filled autumn weeks, please forgive us, just know we are thanking you from the absolute bottom of our hearts! We’re working OT in more ways than one!)

From massive donations and a huge grocery run courtesy of the Mowery family - to meals, paper supplies, utensils, and endless donations from so many of you, we are overwhelmed with love and gratitude! πŸ™πŸΌ

To the grandmas who prepped, the board members who stepped in, the parents who showed up, and the sweet kiddos who picked out supplies from the dollar aisle (spending mom and dad's money for the cause!): you are absolute rockstars.

Calling all child care providers, center directors, coaches, parents, and savvy DIYers! πŸ—£οΈβœ¨

We are working hard to make our large classroom space more developmentally appropriate for our kids, but we desperately need to divide the room. We’re currently looking at wooden room dividers or shelving units to create smaller, focused areas, especially in our Toddler 2 classroom! What are your suggestions?

As a non-profit, our budget is tight, but our determination is huge! We’re looking for:
β€’Classroom Divider Ideas: Budget-friendly wooden dividers, shelving, or creative DIY solutions that hold up to daily classroom life.
β€’Utility Carts: We are also in desperate need of 3 large utility/service carts for classroom meal times! If you know where to find affordable ones (or have any to donate/sell), please send them our way!

Thayer Central will use Emergency Bus Routes for the remainder of the week due to Road Conditions - If you prefer to drive or pick up your child to & from school on your own please contact Tyler Watson or the school office.

If you are unable to leave your home safely, please contact the school office. We will work with families who are in these locations.
