Mrs. Michelle Bowman grew up in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, as the oldest of five children. Mrs. Bowman met her husband of 25 years in an institute class at the University of Utah. For the past 20 years, they have lived in Heber and have loved raising their four children here.
Mrs. Bowman's hero is her piano teacher who instilled in her a love for learning and music, as well as a deep belief that all children deserve a champion to encourage and cheer them on! For the past two years, Mrs. Bowman has taught music at JR Smith and has LOVED teaching all the students. She is now looking forward to teaching in the 4th grade.
When Mrs. Bowman is not teaching, she enjoys playing with her family, serving in the community, traveling, reading, creating music, and going on nature walks with her dog, Arrow.

Courtney Rogers is thrilled to be joining the school as a new teacher. A mom of three, she spent nearly 20 years in the medical field, an experience that ultimately led her to discover her true passion for working with special education students. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in special education and is eager to start making a meaningful difference in the classroom. Outside of school, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, baking, cheering on her kids, and soaking up the sunshine—usually with her dog right by her side.

Meet our new grade five teacher. Mrs. Williamsen is excited to join the school community this year! Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, she graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education. Before returning to the classroom, she spent several years creating engaging science learning experiences and developing curriculum designed to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Mrs. Williamsen believes that students learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and excited to explore new ideas. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that help students grow academically while building confidence and a lifelong curiosity about the world around them.

Outside of school, Mrs. Williamsen enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for eight years and is the proud mom of a four-year-old son. She loves photography, going on walks, and finding opportunities to continue learning and growing. She is looking forward to getting to know her students and families and having a wonderful school year together.
