August 14th, National Code Talkers Day.

In 1982 President Ronald Reagen declared August 14th as National Code Talkers Day.
The Code Talkers were native americans that used their native dialect to communicate secret messages on the battlefield during world war II. The code was never broken.
They were present at some of the most crucial battles in WWII including D-Day and Iwo Jima.
In 2000 ā€˜Honoring the Navajo code talkers’ act was signed into law. and by 2001 the Navajo code talkers were honored with congressional gold and silver medals.
