After Raising 200 Native Yellow Willow Bushes IDEAL farms students worked alongside DNR personnel to stop erosion along Chipman Creek in the Strawberry River Valley. So much Fun and educational.

New Plants every day at the Wasatch IDEAL Farms

It has been a great spring sale so far and we are just getting started. As plants keep waking up and getting ready we will continue to bring them out to the sale so please check back regularly. Just put out some cherry tomatos the kids started in the greenhouse. Thank you to all of you that have supported our program.

Wanted to do a quick perennial spotlight of the Fire Chalice a great flower for drought and lower water areas. This plant originated right here in Utah and the southwest, so it is very adept at using the native climate to put on a show. This is a get hummingbird, butterfly and bee attractant and will be beautiful through summer and into fall. Here is more information from our friends and Conservation Garden Park.

Mothers Day Plant Sale and Perennial Plant, Shrub and Tree Spring Sale.

Wasatch IDEAL Farms is happy to announce that this years FFA Bedding plant Sale at the Main Campus Greenhouse managed by Kody Clyde will be starting their annual Mothers Day Plant Sale Tomorrow. Stop by and help support our Wasatch FFA Program.

We also have many perennial plants, native trees and shrubs ready to go for spring planting. We will be selling again at 250n 600 through the middle of June. This is a self serve option and proceeds go to support the IDEAL Farms Program and provide scholarships for student workers and volunteers. We have many beautiful flowers just like these Munro Globemallow.

IDEAL Farms Plant Spotlight: Wasatch Fire Hummingbird Chalice

This is a water wise plant used in park strips and perennials gardens throughout the Intermountain region. Find this and other great plants at Wasatch IDEAL Farms and help support student learning at WHS.

Located in West Jordan, Utah the Conservation Garden Park showcases waterwise landscaping examples as well as interactive educational exhibits on how to achieve a waterwise landscape.

CLEARANCE SALE: we are in the final two weeks of our spring tree and plant sale. We have some beautiful perennials ready to be put in the ground. Joins us just north of the Wright -Tree stadium on 600 south.
