✨ All About Me Bags! 🛍️💛
We got to know each other a little better in kindergarten! Everyone brought in their very own “All About Me Bags” filled with special items that tells little bit about who they are and what they love. 🥰
Each student had the chance to share their treasures with the class and tell us why each item is special to them. It was such a sweet way to learn about everyone’s favorite things, interests, hobbies, and personalities while practicing speaking and listening skills! 🗣️👂✨

Today we read The Rainbow Fish and completed a fun project to go along with it! We learned about sharing, kindness, and friendship, while also identifying the main character, setting, problem, and solution. 💙✨

🔢🎨 Number & Color Matching Fun! 🎨🔢

Today we combined number recognition and color recognition in a fun, hands on activity! Each student was given a number on their hands and a color for their number. They had to search the paper for the matching number and then dot it using the color they were assigned. This fun activity helped us practice recognizing and matching numbers and colors, following directions, and strengthening our fine motor skills all while making learning fun! 💙🖍️
I loved seeing everyone work hard to find their matches and working so well together. 💜

First grade had been very busy today, but we made sure to add a little fun along the way! 🌭🐶📚

Today, we read a fun hot dog story and created our very own puppy puppets! 🐾 Students also completed an informational puppy sheet that we attached to the back of their puppets.

In phonics, we worked on blends and CVC words, practicing how to blend sounds together to read words. ✏️

In math, we focused on number recognition and number formation, giving our students lots of practice identifying and correctly writing their numbers. 🔢✨

It was a busy day full of learning, creativity, and a little bit of fun! 💕📚

We learned Escucha (listen), Niño (boy), and Niña (girl). We practiced, recited, and sang together! 🎶

At the end, one of my sweet students remembered all three words. I was so proud! 🥰
They also had fun looking at Mrs. Isabel’s big ears! 😂👂 What a fun first day!

🍎 Apple Graphing & Color Activity! 🍏

Today we had so much fun learning with our apple color graph! We played “Pass the Bucket” and practiced listening carefully, taking turns, and following directions. Each child reached inside the bucket to choose an apple without looking and then identified whether they picked red, yellow, or green. ❤️💛💚 Before we started, we also made our predictions! I asked the kiddos which color they thought would win the graph. 🏆 The class predicted that green would be the winner, with red coming in very close behind! This activity gave us a fun, hands on way to practice color recognition, counting, comparing quantities, graphing, making predictions, and using math vocabulary such as more, less, most, and least. 📊🍎 We loved watching our graph grow and seeing whether our predictions were correct! 💚🍎
