Eagle families, review this week’s Eagles Weekly for important dates and reminders:

• ACT testing has moved to Thursday, October 8. Registration is still available for juniors and seniors.
• Students will be released Friday, October 9, at 1:00 p.m. Buses will run their normal routes at that time.
• Fall Break is October 12–16. Classes resume Monday, October 19.

⏰ Every Day. On Time. Ready to Learn.

Regular attendance and on-time arrival matter! When students miss class or arrive late, they miss important instruction and learning time.

For high school students, attendance also affects course credit. Students generally must attend at least 90% of a class to receive credit, and frequent unexcused absences can lead to truancy interventions.

Attendance also impacts school funding through Average Daily Attendance (ADA), which helps support staff, programs, and student services.

Please help us make every school day count! 🦅

Please help students arrive on time and ready to learn. The side cafeteria doors close at 8:05 a.m. Students arriving after 8:05 should enter through the front doors, where grab-and-go breakfast will still be available.

Remember: 4 tardies add up to 1 absence and may result in makeup hours or truancy considerations.

🎓 Career Skills in Action!

Students across our CTE programs are building real-world knowledge and skills through hands-on learning.

In Child Development, part of our Education and Training pathway, students have been studying the stages of pregnancy and infant development. Students are creating visual representations of those stages as they build their understanding of how children develop before birth and during infancy. 👶📚

Meanwhile, students in our Nursing program are practicing practical patient-care skills, including making hospital beds, safely changing linens with a patient in the bed, and taking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate. 🩺❤️

These are the kinds of experiences that help students connect classroom learning to future careers—and give them opportunities to practice the skills those careers require.

🎓 ¡Habilidades Profesionales en Acción!

Los estudiantes de nuestros programas CTE están desarrollando conocimientos y habilidades del mundo real mediante experiencias prácticas.

En Desarrollo Infantil, parte de nuestra vía de Educación y Capacitación, los estudiantes han estado estudiando las etapas del embarazo y el desarrollo infantil. También están creando representaciones visuales de estas etapas mientras fortalecen su comprensión del desarrollo antes del nacimiento y durante la infancia. 👶📚

Mientras tanto, los estudiantes de nuestro programa de Enfermería están practicando habilidades prácticas de atención al paciente, incluyendo preparar camas de hospital, cambiar la ropa de cama de manera segura con un paciente en la cama y tomar signos vitales como la presión arterial y la frecuencia cardíaca. 🩺❤️

Estas experiencias ayudan a los estudiantes a conectar lo que aprenden en el salón de clases con futuras carreras y a practicar las habilidades que esas profesiones requieren.

Happy National Custodian Day!

Today, we celebrate our custodial team and the hard work they put in every day to keep our campus clean, safe, and ready for learning.

Their impact reaches beyond clean classrooms and hallways. Through a kind word, a smile, or a moment of encouragement, they help our students feel seen, valued, and motivated. They build relationships and remind our kids that they have people throughout the campus who care about their success.

To our custodial team: we see your dedication, we value your work, and we appreciate the heart you bring to our school. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but it makes a difference every single day. Thank you for taking care of our campus and our children. You are an important part of our team!

🏫 Thank You to Our Families!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for Open House this evening. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about our campus, our goals, and the ways we can work together to support every student.

As we shared tonight, strong schools are built through strong partnerships with families. Our Open House presentation and Title I School and Family Compact outline how the school, students, and families can work together as a team, and our Family Survey gives you an important voice in helping us strengthen our programs and improve the experience we provide for students.
