Dear Hearne ISD Families,
I am writing to share information regarding a leadership transition within our team. Hearne ISD’s decision to propose termination of the employee’s contract was not taken lightly, and we recognize that changes in leadership can naturally raise questions and concerns for our families.
We are grateful to Mrs. Marsha Shico for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to our students, staff, and HES community.
Most importantly, please know that our students remain our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that this transition has as little disruption as possible to the learning, support, and services our students receive each day. Our staff and leadership team are working together to maintain consistency, stability, and a positive learning environment for every student.
To support a smooth transition:
Point of Contact: Effective immediately, please direct any questions, concerns, or needs to the HES secretary. She will ensure your message is promptly routed to the appropriate staff member.
Continued Student Support: Our teachers and staff will continue providing the instruction, care, and support our students need.
Leadership Recruitment: Our leadership team is actively working to identify and recruit a qualified professional to fill the role. We will communicate additional information as appropriate.
We understand that transitions can bring uncertainty, but we want to reassure you that HES remains focused on what matters most: our students, their learning, and their well-being. We are grateful for the partnership and trust of our families as we work through this transition together.
Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding. We are confident in the dedication of our HES staff and their commitment to providing our students with a safe, supportive, and successful school experience.
Warm regards,
Travis Weatherspoon, Interim Superintendent
