At Healdsburg Junior High, every student is known well by at least one adult, often more, and every effort is made to connect students to our school and build academic and social success. We continue to improve in our efforts to provide support for those students who are in need while challenging all of our students to perform and produce work at their highest levels. Healdsburg has that wonderful small town feel and the community is closely involved in the schools. HJH enjoys outstanding support from our community. Parents are invited in to work with our staff so that they are closely involved with their child’s education. Community groups and members contribute time, energy and funding to support our academic and extra-curricular programs. HJH is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment where all members of the school community respect one another.

2. HJH is committed to high levels of academic achievement for all students based on and measured by state standards.

A whole lot! 🙌 From supporting our amazing staff and funding field trips to celebrating students and creating memorable experiences, the PTO works hard to give back to our HJH community. 🏫✨
And the best part? Every dollar raised goes right back into our school!

What better way to kick off the school year than with our FIRST RALLY! 🙌

Students got to meet some of the amazing staff who make HJH special, experience what Grey Pup Pride is all about, and see what happens when we come together to cheer each other on and celebrate our school community! 📣🐾

With BIG cheers, lots of school spirit, and even some prizes, our first rally was one to remember!

The HJH PTO helps fund field trips, assemblies, student events, and so much more - but it cannot operate or approve spending without a full board. We’re looking for a few parents to step up so we can keep supporting our students and a school community.

El PTO de HJH ayuda a financiar excursiones, asambleas, eventos estudiantiles, y mucho más. Sin embargo, no puede funcionar ni aprobar gastos sin contar con una mesa directiva completa.
Estamos buscando a algunos padres de familia que quieran participar para que podamos seguir apoyando a nuestros estudiantes y a nuestra comunidad escolar.

Our Grow & Go group took a field trip to explore public transportation in Sonoma County! 🚍🚆
The students practiced planning a trip to Windsor using the public bus and then boarded the SMART Train. Along the way, they learned an important real-world lesson: public transit isn’t always on schedule, and sometimes you have to move quickly to make your connection! We made it just in time. 🎉
After a short train ride, we stopped at Starbucks for a refreshment before walking to Windsor Bowling Alley for some fun.
✨ Important things our students learned:
• Youth ride FREE on both Sonoma County buses and the SMART Train.
• Kids can bowl FREE all summer long at Windsor Bowling Alley (2 games every day)! Create a Kids Bowl Free account at kidsbowlfree.com to participate.
Experiences like these help students build confidence, gain independence, and learn how to navigate their community. We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the day! 💙
