The Child Parent Institute is partnering with the Healdsburg Police Department and HUSD to provide an online class on Parenting Traps to Avoid. The class will be free and will be held on Thursday, August 6th at 5:15 p.m. You can register by scanning the QR code.

Calling all poetry enthusiasts - the Healdsburg Regional Library is hosting a discussion with Poetry Out Loud founder Dana Gioia on the works of Elizabeth Bishop on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.

There is still time to file to run for a seat on the HUSD School Board, but the filing deadline is coming up soon! If you or someone you know live in Trustee areas 1 or 5 (see the map for reference) and want to help contribute to our schools and serve the community, consider running for a seat on the Board!

More information can be found on the Registrar of Voters website. Any interested parties can also reach out to Laurel Green ([email protected]) if they would like to sit down with Superintendent Vanden Heuvel to discuss what serving on the Board looks like in more detail.

Back-to-school paperwork is now available on the Aeries Parent Portal.

Families should plan to complete and submit all paperwork prior to the start of the school year on August 13th.

Please note, it will not be possible to access your student's class assignment/schedule until the district has received updated proof of residency. For more details, please consult the messages that district sent out on ParentSquare about this process.

The district will offer in-person opportunities for families who need assistance with this process on the following dates:

Monday, August 3 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Wednesday, August 5 from 4:00- 7:00 pm

The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) is hosting a candidate information session for anyone interested in running for School Board in the November election. The session is on Monday, June 15 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the TLC Building at SCOE (5340 Skylane Blvd., Santa Rosa, CA 59403). Anyone interested in registering is asked to do so by June 10th by either using the QR code on the poster or by visiting scoe.org
