Today, Jeff Davis County Schools was made aware of allegations involving an employee at Jeff Davis High School. Upon receiving the allegations, the district immediately began an investigation and contacted the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

As of today, the employee is no longer serving in any capacity at Jeff Davis High School or within Jeff Davis County Schools.

The district takes all allegations of this nature seriously. We want to assure the community that the safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority.

Our students are making incredible strides, with gains across multiple grade levels, subject areas and performance that surpassed state averages in several categories. These encouraging results represent more than numbers. They reflect the hard work, dedication & commitment of our students, teachers, school leaders and families.

What a wonderful way to kick off a new school year!

We are so grateful to Jeff Davis County Family Connection and all of the partners who made this year’s Annual Back to School Giveaway such a meaningful day for our students and families.

Hundreds of families joined us to receive backpacks, school supplies, valuable community resources, encouragement & even free haircuts. More than a giveaway, this event was a reminder of what can happen when our community comes together to support our students.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible and who continue to invest in the success of our Yellow Jacket family. We are proud to begin another school year surrounded by such an incredible community!
