Two weeks in a row! 🇺🇸

Congratulations to Aiden Rish, our JDHS Student Section Most Spirited of the Week for the second consecutive week! Aiden continues to show up, dress the part, and bring plenty of Yellow Jacket spirit!

It's a great week to be a Jacket!

✔️Friday Jacket Day was filled with learning opportunities about character, CPR, digital citizenship, you science, and learning what opportunities and credits are needed to graduate.
✔️Open House on Thursday ~ Progress reports were sent home today for all guardians unable to attend. Don't forget to sign up for parent portal to stay up to date on attendance and grades.
✔️Financial Algebra students worked in groups to solve word problems.
✔️Foundations of Algebra students calculated fractions, decimals, and percentages using Smarties on No Tech Tuesday.
✔️Students competed against each other in a Punctuating Dialogue and Embedding Quotations Game in ELA.
✔️Competitive vocabulary review in Spanish
✔️A lot of learning!

Jeff Davis High School would like to recognize the August Students of the Month. Teachers are given the opportunity to award one student a student of the month award based on great attitude and effort. Congratulations to these students for leaving JDHS better!

Fridays are always more fun with a pep rally! Tonight's student theme of Minion night started showing in the halls early. We even had Vector come visit. The animal race in the Pinelands was a lot of fun. Congratulations to the Jacket for winning!

After the pep rally, students had the chance to meet club sponsors and officers to find out more about what JDH has to offer. Thanks to all of the clubs for making the Club Day Showcase a fun event!

It's a great week to be a Jacket!

✔️Hallway Pep Rally, Pep rally, and Club Day showcase event
✔️Health and PE played “Human Bingo” in Coach Jordan's class to learn more about their peers, along with some intense games of Badminton in the gym.
✔️Mr. Hersey's coding classes learned how to give directions and strategize for coding by giving Mr. Hersey directions on how to make a PB&J.
✔️Business Communications class worked on their first public speaking activity by creating an “All About Me” presentation and presenting it to the class.
✔️Geometry students participated in SpongeBob Speed-dating where they used polynomial operations to find the perimeter of their characters. Students also had to draw their character combinations and as a class voted on the best and worst drawn characters.
✔️Students in Mrs. Green's Lit. & Comp. II class had fun reviewing their vocabulary words by playing a game of vocabulary headbandz!
✔️A lot of learning!
