Mack Training Academy Martial Arts Academy. Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai Classes For Kids and Adults. Because I focus on self defense, some striking is blended in.

Jiu Jitsu is a martial art mainly focused on grappling to control, pin, and submit your opponent in the safest and most efficient manner possible. It uses leverage, timing, and technique to allow individuals to defend themselves from larger, stronger, and faster people. I am also a World Thai Boxing Association certified instructor in Muay Thai.

We like to play games as part of the training process for kids. A favorite is Sensei Says. Where kids learn striking techniques and can earn a reward by winning. 🥊🦵

Don’t wait. The sooner you can get a child started the better. That goes for yourself too.

I had a lot of comments from this particular post a lot of people that answered both. Let me start with that is the correct answer you need to be able to strike and grapple. 💯%🔥

That being said if you only trained one or could only be allowed to train one which would you choose and why? Because there are a lot of people out there that just train one.

For single person altercations it would be grappling for sure. If it were multiple people it would be striking for sure. And yes I already know that 🔫 is the best option.

I’ll start out by being respectful. Bruce Lee was an amazing martial artist and way ahead of his time. He brought a lot of popularity to martial arts and had great insight possibly one of the first people to make mma popular.

I do believe that the Godlike idea of him is overdone. An ability to beat anyone or thing regardless of size or skill level. I tend to agree with Chael.
