Our Webster Early Childhood Center will host an Open House on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm. Come meet our amazing staff and take part in a fun scavenger hunt as you tour the building.

It’s going to be a very busy day at HPS tomorrow!!! Along with Viking Day and Patriot Day, we have Kindergarten & Young 5s at all of our Elementary schools and it’s also our last day of Back-To-School registration.

Our Hazel Park Dance Team wrapped up its camp last week with a performance in front of family and friends. These teams are ready for the season!!!!

Our Kindergarten & Early 5s Open House will take place on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, at all three of our HPS elementary schools. Come learn about our curriculum and meet the staff.

Our Boys & Girls Bowling Camp takes place Tuesday and Thursday this week for 6th through 12th graders from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Madison Park Bowl.

Hazel Park Schools is hiring!!!

Attention Hazel Park Junior High football players. The start of the 2026 season is right around the corner. Here is a list of important dates in September and October you can add to your calendar. More information will be coming out as we get closer to our Parent Meeting on Sept. 1, 2026.

Hazel Park Junior High School will hold its tryouts for the 2026-27 on Aug. 17-19, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm at the Junior High. A current physical must be on file to participate.

Hazel Park Schools has partnered with Gleaners Community Food Bank to bring the School Mobile Food Pantry to our students and their families. Food distribution will occur tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Ford Administration Building (1620 E. Elza). The food pickup line will NOT begin until 9:30 am. Walk-ups CANNOT receive food until 10 am (30 minutes after the line has begun). Food will ONLY be distributed for 1 hour; our distribution will end at 10:30 am.

All main offices at all Hazel Park School district buildings will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, due to professional development. This includes our Longfellow Community Center. Latchkey and the summer program at Webb Elementary will be open.
