Weโre a week away from the first of our four Back-To-School Registration Nights which will take place June 25, 2026, from 3 to 7 pm at the Ford Administration Building (1620 East Elza). If you haven't registered for the upcoming school year, this is your time to do so. We will have food, giveaways, and other fun activities for your students during the event.

Our very own Ms. Brodsky, a Physical Education/Health Teacher at Hazel Park High School, was one of 10 applicants in Michigan chosen to receive a Meemic Foundation Grant. She was awarded $500 for her classroom, and $500 went to Hazel Park High School.

We wanted to share a reminder and a couple of updates on our remaining Youth Athletic Camps we have coming up.
>>> Boys Soccer will take place tomorrow (Monday, June 15, 2026) from 10 am 12 pm at the stadium at Hazel Park High School.
>>> Girls Soccer on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9 am to 12 pm at the stadium at Hazel Park High School.
>>> Football will now be one day (Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm) due to the school district being closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.
>>> Softball has been moved to June 22-23, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm.
>>> Wrestling will take place June 22-25, 2026, from 3:30 to 6 pm in the mat room at Hazel Park High School.
>>> Track & Field has been moved to June 25, 2026, from 4 to 5:30 pm.
>>> Girls Basketball will take place July 13 & 15, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm.
>>> Baseball will take place July 13-15, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm.
>>> Boys & Girls Volleyball will take place July 28-29, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm.
>>> Boys Basketball will take place July 30-31, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm.
>>> Boys & Girls Bowling will take place Aug. 18 & 20, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Madison Park Bowl.

Attention all players interested in playing football at Hazel Park Junior High for the 2026 season. There will be a one-day camp held tomorrow โ on Monday, June 15, 2026 โ from 4:30 to 6 pm on the football field at Hazel Park High School. Come meet our coaches, learn about summer expectations, and hear about the season calendar. After the camp is over, camp attendees will head to the High School Auditorium with our coaches and players to see them get recognized for their accomplishments on the field last season. Following that ceremony, there will be a parent meeting at 6:30 pm in the Media Center at Hazel Park High School. If you're unable to attend the meeting, more information will be sent out in the coming days.

Dear Hazel Park Families,
Hazel Park Schools has partnered with Gleaners Community Food Bank to bring the School Mobile Food Pantry to our students and their families.
Food distribution will occur today, Friday, June 12, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Ford Administration Building (1620 E. Elza).
Here are a few NEW RULES and procedures provided by Gleaners:
1. The food pickup line will NOT begin until 9:30 am.
2. Walk-ups CANNOT receive food until 10 am (30 minutes after the line has begun).
3. Food will ONLY be distributed for 1 hour; our distribution will end at 10:30 am.
4. You must be present with your card; no pickups or deliveries allowed.
5. No more than 6 servings per car.
6. Staff must come through the line in their vehicle or wait until all the cars have been processed.
7. We are now required to ask for your income and/or program you are enrolled in (ex. SNAP Benefits).
8. We CANNOT hold food for families; it must be obtained during the Gleaners distribution.
9. We will NEVER ask for a driver's license.
10. Any remaining food will be sent back to Gleaners.

Bring your family to Longfellow Community Center at 24400 Battelle Ave in Hazel Park and enjoy a free hot dog, chips, and a beverage. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, sit back, relax, and enjoy music from a talented local artist.
It's a perfect evening to enjoy our summer weather, connect with neighbors, and celebrate our Hazel Park community.

The second day of our Youth Swim Camp is in the books. If you weren't able to attend either of the first two days, we have one more day of camp on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3 to 4 pm for swimmers ages 3-8 years old and 4-5 pm for swimmers ages 9-15 years old at Hazel Park High School. Come and learn the game from our incredible varsity coach and many of his swimmers.

Our Summer Food Service Program begins next week at United Oaks and Webb Elementary as well as at Edison School. The following week, this program begins at Hazel Park High School and Hazel Park Junior High. See the flyer for exact dates and times. So please, come and enjoy a FREE breakfast and lunch at a school near you. This program is open to all children 18 years of age and younger.
