🍳🛒 Learning Through Dramatic Play!

Our preschoolers are busy cooking, shopping, caring for babies, and using their imaginations in our dramatic play center! ❤️ Through pretend play, children build language, social skills, creativity, problem-solving, and independence while learning about everyday life.

They may think they’re just playing, but there’s a whole lot of learning happening! 🥰

🐥 All About Me Week: Baby Chicks! 🐥

During All About Me Week, our preschoolers learned about baby chicks and how they start off small and grow, just like we do! 💛 Then they created their own colorful chicks using feathers, celebrating how we can all look different and still be special in our own way. 🪶🌈

😴📚 Nap Time Is Part of Learning Too!

At Bright Start, we understand that a child’s brain needs time to rest, recharge, and process everything they’ve learned. Nap time is a crucial part of our learning day because well-rested children are better prepared to focus, participate, regulate their emotions, and enjoy the rest of their day. 💛

Rest isn’t a break from learning. It’s part of the learning process! 💤✨

🎶🛑 Dance, Dance… FREEZE!

Our preschoolers had a blast playing the Freeze Game! They danced, moved, laughed, and when the music stopped… everybody FREEZE! 🕺🏽💃🏽😂

Games like this are not only fun, they help children practice listening skills, following directions, self-control, and gross motor development.

Learning looks a lot like FUN around here! 💛

🎨🚗🦒 Free Play Fun in our Two-Year-Old Classroom!

Free play gives our little learners the opportunity to explore, imagine, make choices, and play together at their own pace. Whether they’re creating adventures with animals or zooming around with their favorite vehicles, they’re learning through play! 💛

📖🎨 Drawing the Story! After listening to a story, our preschoolers put their imaginations on paper by drawing what they remembered and understood. This activity helps strengthen listening comprehension, recall, creativity, and early literacy skills while giving children their own way to retell the story.

Safety first at Bright Start Learning Academy! 💛 Today our classrooms practiced their tornado drills, teaching our little learners how to safely respond during severe weather.

From our infants to our preschoolers, everyone is learning that being prepared is part of staying safe! 🥰
