Rams Week 2026 is in the books, and it felt more like a family reunion!

Our high schoolers went all in by rocking some great red clothing. Then of course there was Formal attire, which was genuinely a sight. And last but not least we had twin day, where students doubled up on style! Then the games, which got competitive fast, in the best way.

That is the community our families built. Thank you for it.

The first day of school for most students, for Class of 2027, was the last first day of school at CCA. 🥲

Some of these students walked in as kindergarteners. Some joined in seventh grade and never looked back. Either way, this is the year of lasts: last home opener, last spirit week, last chapel as an underclassman turned senior.

We are choosing to cherish every ordinary moment of it and to thank God along the way for the whole journey.

Half the people who stopped by our booth on Saturday had never heard of California Crosspoint Academy.

But it created a great conversation because we've been a school for nearly 50 years! Hayward Street Party put us out on the sidewalk with a few hundred neighbors, and we got to introduce ourselves to families who live ten minutes from campus and drive past us every week.

For anyone we didn't get to: CCA is a Christian school serving preschool through 12th grade, right here in Hayward. We're a two-time National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, and Parents' Press named us a Top 5 Faith-Based School in 2025.

Thank you to the City of Hayward for running a great event, and to the parents and staff who worked the table all afternoon.

The line for the grill got long, but nobody seemed to mind!

Recently our annual BBQ brought every grade, plus many of our alumni back onto one campus. Kids made the most of our fun, games, and bounce houses. Parents who had never met were able to connect over plates of food. New families walked in as guests and left knowing a dozen new names.

Thank you to the volunteers who showed up hours early, the Genuine Food crew on grill duty who never once sat down, and every family who brought a chair and stayed a while. This is what "Transforming Lives for the Glory of God" looks like on a Saturday afternoon. Full plates, loud games, and people getting to know our community.

Would your child know what to do?

That was the question officers put to our students this month.

Five local departments sent officers to campus to walk our students through real safety scenarios. How to recognize when something feels off. How to respond. Who to call, and when. They ran the whole presentation in both Mandarin and English so that every student in the room could follow it, which for many of our families made all the difference. Safety information only helps you if you actually understand it.

Before they left, the officers gave us direct contact information for Oakland PD, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, San Leandro PD, Alameda PD, and Hayward PD. We have listed all five in the comments below.

First place, again.

We're sharing a few more of the winning pieces from our high school students at this year's county fair. Each of these started as an empty canvas and a student willing to find out what would happen.

Thank you to our amazing teachers and our arts faculty for building a program where students are expected to take real creative risk, and where the work is treated seriously enough to be entered.

Congratulations to our Rams athletes on earning a Certificate of Excellence from the North Coast Section, CIF.

This recognition isn't handed out for wins alone. It's awarded for how a program conducts itself: sportsmanship, ethics, and the character our student athletes show on the court, on the field, and in the way they treat opponents and officials.

That's the part we're proudest of. A season of excellence and integrity is exactly what we hope for when a student puts on a Rams jersey.

Thank you to our coaches for setting the standard, to our families for the early mornings and the long drives, and to our athletes for representing California Crosspoint Academy so well.

Some of our teachers spent part of their summer in Kentucky hanging out with Noah.

Well, sort of. They were at the Answers for Educators conference, working through how faith connects to what they teach every day, whether that's a science lab, or a hard question a student asks halfway through fourth period.

The credits count toward continuing education through ACSI, our accrediting organization. But the real reason we send them is simpler. Teachers who keep learning are teachers who keep their classrooms interesting.

They also made it to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum, which we're told involved a fair amount of standing and going "wait, it's THAT big."

Grateful for a faculty that puts this kind of work into leading our students in both faith and learning.
