Last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of attending a talk with ICU Nurse Sandeep Pokharel 🩺✨ He shared real and valuable advice on what it’s like transitioning into practice that covered how burnout can show up early, ways to manage stress and workload, and the importance of setting boundaries to sustain a long-term nursing career. He also dove into being financially smart as a new grad, from budgeting and student loans to understanding your paycheck, benefits, and avoiding common mistakes.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our very own, Josh Vergel Verdeflor. A nursing student who brought so much kindness, warmth, and light into our program.

Josh will be remembered for the compassion he showed others and the bright presence he carried wherever he went. He touched the lives of many.

We stand with his loved ones, friends, classmates, and all those grieving this heartbreaking loss as we honor his life, presence, and memory. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will not be forgotten.

May he find eternal peace, happiness, and rest. You will always be remembered, Josh 🤍🙏🏻
