Stained glass for places of worship. Jerry Krauski, liturgical designer and artist is from the Milwaukee area.
He studied fine arts at Layton School of Art on an academic scholarship and attended Marquette University. Jerry's interest in liturgical art and stained glass comes from his father Anthony Krauski, who was a stained glass artist for several studios in the Milwaukee area. Jerry worked with his father during high school and college. In 1960, Jerry moved to Chicago and worked for several art studios
In 1961 he started his own art studio, calling it Faceted Stained Glass Studio, Inc. Jerry's studio has done many projects all around the country. Jerry has also traveled and studied religious art in Europe, Israel & Egypt. Jerry moved to Hayward in 1977; while in Hayward he changed the name of his company to Liturgical Environments. Jerry’s wife Theresa, daughters Paulette and Annette and his sons-in-law, Michael Ross and Kevin Pohlman,along with grandsons Chris and Andrew are all involved with the studio. The mission of Liturgical Environments Company is to create beautiful windows creating a space worthy for encountering God making an environment full of colorful light. Jerry designs this environment using noble materials and forming them into art glass windows that are produced by skilled artisans. Jerry has served on the Liturgical Commission for the Superior Diocese and has given teachings on liturgical decorating. Jerry has completed many full size renovation projects that included furnishings, appointments, and liturgical consulting in addition to the art glass windows. The staff of Liturgical Environments has also attended and exhibited at diocesan seminars on liturgy. Recently Jerry did the stained glass artwork (twenty mysteries of the rosary) for a book for Pauline Books and Media titled "A Scriptural ROSARY". Winner of Ministry & Liturgy magazine's
