Congratulations to EdD candidate Babalwa Kwanele on reaching a major milestone with the groundbreaking of Berkeley’s African American Holistic Resource Center in South Berkeley! 🎉
Opening in 2027, the Center will serve the Black community with health screenings, academic tutoring, recreational programs, social service referrals, and space for community gatherings. Babalwa is pictured here on the right with fellow Steering Committee member Starla Gay.
