June is Aphasia Awareness Month 💙
Aphasia affects how people communicate—not their intelligence. Millions of individuals live with aphasia, often after a stroke or brain injury, and may have difficulty speaking, understanding, reading, or writing.
At CSUEB, our students in the SLP and SLPA programs gain hands-on experience supporting individuals with aphasia through clinical and community-based care.
✨ You can help by being patient, listening actively, and spreading awareness. Small actions make a big difference.

Celebrating one of our own 💛✨
Leslie is graduating from the University Honors Program while double majoring in Speech Pathology & Audiology and Spanish (yes… we’re impressed too). On top of that, she’s been involved in the Multilingualism Lab and served as Secretary for NSSLHA this year.
It’s been so special watching her grow, lead, and give back to this community. This is such a huge milestone, and it’s only the beginning 👏
We’re so proud of you, Leslie!! 🎓💫
