Statement from the Hayti R-ll School District
HAYTI, MO — The Hayti R-ll School District has issued the following statement today:

Our school community is grieving following a motor vehicle accident involving four of our students. Based on the information available to us, we understand that two students lost their lives and two others remain in critical condition.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by this terrible loss.

During this difficult time, we ask our entire community to support one another with compassion, patience, and care.
Counselors and other resources will be available for students and staff beginning Tuesday and throughout the week. We encourage anyone who is struggling or needs someone to talk with to reach out to a school counselor or another trusted adult at any time.

We know the days ahead will be difficult. As a school community, we will continue to come together, care for one another, and provide support wherever it is needed.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families who are grieving and continue to keep all those impacted by this loss in our thoughts.

🚍 Morning Drop-Off Reminder
Parents, it has come to our attention that the bus dropping off students is being passed in the morning.
Please remember that Pre-K students are dropped off at the South Parking Lot with our bus riders.
This is the designated drop-off route if you are dropping off Pre-K or K–6th grade students.
Also, please remember that Al Jackson Dr. is a narrow road. For everyone’s safety, please exit onto 4th Street and do not pass the buses.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our students safe! 💛🖤
