Working on homes built before 1978? Lead safety isn't optional—it's required.
If you perform renovation, repair, or painting on residential housing built before January 1, 1978, Kansas law requires proper training to help protect you, your team, and your customers from the dangers of lead-based paint.
At Kansas Training Center, our KDHE-approved Lead Renovator Initial Certification Course provides the knowledge and hands-on training you need to work safely and stay compliant.
In this course, you'll learn:
-The health hazards associated with lead exposure
-Required lead-safe work practices
-Proper dust containment and cleanup procedures
-State and federal regulations for working on lead-based painted surfaces
Upon successful completion, participants are eligible to become a Certified Renovator in Kansas, meeting KDHE training requirements.
Whether you're a contractor, remodeler, painter, maintenance professional, or property manager, investing in lead-safe training demonstrates your commitment to safety, professionalism, and compliance.
