The Gator Anglers got out for a fishing trip today and absolutely tore them up. đŁđ
The fish were biting, the weather cooperated, and the crew made some great memories together out on the water.
One of the coolest parts of today? Every one of the anglers in this picture is a Tri-City graduate. Seeing former students continue to stay connected, support one another, and share experiences together is pretty special.
At Tri-City, we hope our students leave with more than academics â we hope they leave with relationships, confidence, and a sense of belonging that lasts long after graduation.
A successful day for the Gators all around.

Our 2025â2026 Awards Celebration is officially a wrap!
Our students took home plenty of bling (candy bars and cowbells included) and, more importantly, were thoroughly celebrated for their growth, effort, grit, and accomplishments throughout the year.
While weâll be sharing more pictures soon, we want to take a moment to specifically recognize Jameson â our Student of the Year.
Jameson has persevered, followed expectations, and been a model student all year long. The progress he has made through his own hard work, determination, and consistency has been nothing short of astounding to witness.
We could not be more proud of his accomplishments and accolades. They are incredibly well deserved, and we are excited to see all the great things ahead for him.
Congratulations, Jameson!

Senior Night at tTCDS is always a special evening.
Limo rides, dinner together, lots of laughs, and the opportunity to celebrate our graduating seniors and everything they have accomplished along the way.
There has been an incredible amount of hard work, perseverance, and growth behind this moment, and tonight was a chance to simply enjoy it together and celebrate these amazing gentlemen.
Congratulations, seniors â we are proud of you!

TCDS Weekly Wrap-Up đ
Best of the Best was epic this week! We celebrated a new record for Positive Office Referralsâour gators are doing big things and making it count.
We also had a special moment recognizing two graduating seniors as Student of the Month⌠a well-earned honor as they get ready for whatâs next.
Our students were out in the community through OJT with Beauties & Beasts, gaining real-world experience and giving back. And through Pre-ETS, we continue preparing students for success in employment and life after high school.
And in one of those quieter moments that says just as muchâtwo students sitting across from each other, playing a game of chess. Strategy, patience, connection⌠sometimes the biggest wins donât make the loudest noise. âď¸
Proud of the work, growth, and momentum happening every day at TCDS.
Keep moving forward. đđ

Today we wished Maddie the very best as she wrapped up her time as our social work intern at tTCDS.
Maddie did an incredible job forming relationships with our students, supporting both students and staff, and showing up each day with a smile on her face. Her impact here has been real, and she will be immensely missed by all of us.
Along the way, she stepped right into one of tTCDSâs long-running debates:
Social workers = sharksâŚ
and a select group of students (and a few staff members) proudly representing SRABS â Students for the Rights of Anything But a Social Worker⌠otherwise known as the crabs.
Despite the ongoing Shark vs. Crab rivalry, Maddie proved what we already knewâsheâs going to be one heck of a social worker.
Weâre grateful we got to be part of her journey. The Bayou wonât be the same without you.
Even the crabs would admit⌠sheâs alright. đ
Once a Gator, always a Gator. đđđ

Checking in from last Friday⌠still thinking about this one.
During the day, multiple USD 261 schools came together for
Rolling on the Prairie: Stride Together
Students, staff, runners, and riders all moving side by sideâexactly how it should be.
A huge shoutout to the Lady Colts Soccer Team for lending their legs and jumping in alongside our riders. Thatâs what this is about.
What stood out the mostâthis isnât something you see everywhere.
There really isnât another school-based event like this in adaptive sports. Not in our area, and not within the Ainsleyâs Angels Race Series.
And our students? They didnât just participateâthey led the way.
This was more than a run.
This was connection.
This was inclusion in action.
More photos from all participating schools will be shared on the Ainsleyâs Angels in Kansas page
Truly an usd261derfulday đđ

Thursday we had a surprise glow party celebrating a new chapter for one of our students. Huge thanks to Ms. Micah for coordinating it all. Safe to say⌠it was lit. â¨

Today was one of those moments that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
A group of our Tri City students and staff had the opportunity to attend and celebrate a significant life event for one of their peers. We were truly honored to be invited to be part of something so meaningful. đ
Moments like this deserve to be celebrated in a big way. They represent love, support, and a fresh chapterâand we were grateful to stand alongside our student and their family as it became official.
And afterwardsâŚwe celebrated the only way that felt rightâAndyâs. No better way to celebrate. đŚ
Thereâs something powerful about being part of a community where students arenât just supportedâŚtheyâre truly known, valued, and celebrated.
At Tri City, we donât just show up for school daysâwe show up for life moments.

Another awesome week in the swamp at tTCDS! đđđ
Friendships were front and center in Mr. Nathanâs classâbuilding connections, practicing skills, and showing what it means to be a great teammate.
We kept gearing up for the Rolling on the Prairie, getting in more practice and even bringing out an Axiom chair so students can get the full race-day experience. The excitement is building!
After practice, our On the Job Training class spent time at Beauties and Beastsâcontinuing to build real-world job skills (and getting in some quality time with some pretty great animals đž).
In Ms. Meairsâ science class, students put their engineering skills to the testâdesigning and creating containers to protect their eggs for our upcoming egg drop experiment. Creativity + problem-solving at its best!
And of course, we wrapped it all up with our Best of the Best Assemblyâcelebrating Good Things, Positive Office Referrals, and our Gator GRIT Staff Awards. So many moments of growth, effort, and pride across the building.
And thanks to the Kansas weather doing its thing, Ms. V gave us her best Ms. Frizzle impressionâbecause at tTCDS, even the chaos turns into a learning adventure. đŞď¸đ
