Ellis County Farm Bureau 2026 Kids Ag Days was a SUCCESS!

We had an incredible day of agricultural education with over 300 students, 20 presenters, and tons of volunteers coming together to help students learn more about agriculture, safety, and where their food comes from! 🚜🐄

A HUGE thank-you to the Copper family for allowing us to use their facilities at Pa’s Pumpkin Patch, Carrico Implement for providing the tent, and Culligan Water for their water station to keep everyone hydrated throughout the day. Thank you to McDonald’s of Hays for donating apples and cookies for lunch and Bomgaars for donating water bottles for our students!

A special shout-out to the Hays High FFA and FHSU Collegiate Farm Bureau students for showing up and lending a hand both days! Your time, hard work, and willingness to help made a big difference, and we appreciate you being part of this event! 💛

We also want to thank all the schools and teachers who made it possible for their students to participate. We appreciate your support in helping the next generation learn about the importance of agriculture!

We would not be able to put on this special day without our amazing sponsors, volunteers, community members, and local businesses. Your generosity and commitment to agricultural education make a lasting impact on students in our community!🙌🏻

🌟 Thank you to our 2026 Kids Ag Days sponsors:
• Carrico Implement
• Bigg E Meats

• Beck’s Hybrids / Stone Post Ag

"When I look back on where I began at the beginning of Leadership KFB, my goal was simply to grow as a leader and become a more impactful asset in my community," says Hallie Means, a participant in this year's class of Leadership KFB. "What I didn’t expect was to become more confident in asking the big questions, further developing my understanding of agriculture policy and, most importantly, recognizing the importance of taking up space in a room of fellow leaders and finding that is where personal growth happens."

The sixth and final session of the leadership program took the cohort to Washington, D.C. to connect with agricultural leaders at the federal level. Read more about Hallie's experience.

Applications for the next cohort of Leadership KFB will close Oct. 15 - apply today at www.kfb.org/leadershipkfb.

This is part six of a series from Hallie Means, Greeley County, to cover an inside look at Leadership KFB, a one-year leadership program by Kansas Farm Bureau that encourages members to seek thoughtful and impactful change, not only in agriculture, but also in communities across Kansas and beyond.
