We had our last general meeting of the semester last Tuesday. This meeting was our Holiday party! We wrote cards for local nursing homes, decorated cookies and answered Holiday-themed trivia questions. Thank you all for your participation this semester. Fort Hays Honor Society is working with I Fed The Tiger to raise awareness and funds for our annual Disability Awareness Week. This three-day event raises awareness and decreases stigma for learning, physical, and mental disabilities. Each day is devoted to one of the disabilities and students can learn what it is like to live with a disability by completing simulations, hearing from panelists, and talking with others who are currently overcoming their disability. With this event being cancelled last year, we appreciate any and all support so we can expand and build to make this year the best Disability Awareness Week yet!
