Auditions are happening soon for our 2026 TMP-Marian Fall Musical, "Oliver!". We'll be stepping into the streets of 1830s London—where one boy’s journey takes him from hunger to hope as he searches for someone to love him and a place to call home.

Opening night for "The Beverly Hillbillies" was a success! Here are some quotes overheard at the meet and greet:
Jed Clampett - “We struck oil once… but I think we struck gold with that audience.”
Granny - “I ain’t seen that many people gathered since I accidentally invented a tonic that cured baldness and caused hiccups!”
Elly May - “All them people watchin’ us… I felt like one of my critters at the county fair!”
Jethro - “If applause was homework grades, I’d be passin’ sixth grade!”
Miss Hathaway - “Opening night was a resounding success—efficient, elegant, and only mildly chaotic.”
Mrs. Drysdale - "MILBURN!!"

Opening night was a hoot, a holler, and a whole heap of fun—thanks for fillin’ the house and laughin’ along with us! Y’all come back now, ya hear?

Congrats to the entire cast and crew of "Oz"!

The Music Theatre of Wichita's annual Jester Award nominees have been announced, and our production of "The Wizard of Oz" earned the following regional nominations:
Eli Stein (Scarecrow) - Leading Performer
Kendall Seiler (Glinda) - Supporting Performer
Evan Staab (Professor Marvel) - Cameo Performer
The Jitterbugs -Small Ensemble
Madelyn Seiler - Choreography
TMP-Marian - Stage Crew
Travis Grizzell - Scenic Design
Preston Mermis - Sound Design
Mia Baltodano and Katie Vaughn - Program Design
TMP-Marian - Lobby Display

Mia and Ms. Vaughn scored high enough in our regional awards to proceed to the overall nominations. The Jester Awards will be held on Sunday, May 3, at Century II in Wichita.
Congratulations to everyone on another successful musical production!
