I’m headed to the first h+h americas in Houston, so today’s post is photos from the first h+h in Chicago in 2022.
Coming out of the pandemic, it felt like a luxury being in the same physical space as so many smart, creative people.

2010 A print ad (remember those?) from when I was the the International Spokesperson for Caron Yarns. I got the gig ( thank you Cari Clement !) shortly after my youngest was born who, btw, is now a senior in high school. 🤯

Now, what did I do with the patterns I wrote for the designs in this shot? 🤔

2004 When the Austin Chronicle featured the Austin Craft Mafia — a group of women with craft-based businesses who banned together to cross-promote and support one another, and encouraged other women to do the same.

My favorite part is that this article was in the “Technology” section, because 22 years ago, being a small business on the Interwebs — let alone a maker business — was a relatively new phenomenon. Women in tech, indeed! 😆
