The Fort Hays State University Department of Political Science page serves as a place to follow our students, faculty and alums, keep up on course schedules and extracurricular activities, learn about internship and job opportunities, and stay on top of political and public policy resources. The FHSU Department of Political Science page serves as a communication platform between the Department, students, faculty, alumni, and the extended FHSU community. The page is primarily informational in nature and is not intended for partisan or personal posts. Any posts deemed partisan, derogatory, offensive, or in another way in violation of the policy will be removed by the administrative assistant or the chair of the department, who manage the page. Should a violation occur, a reminder of the policy will be sent and the person who posted the offending content may be asked to refrain from future violations. Multiple violations may result in the poster’s loss of access to the page and a report to Facebook for inappropriate use of the site.

The American Democracy Project at FHSU is kicking off the semester today at NOON in the FHSU Tebo Library Robbins Forum! Free lunch will be provided for attendees.

Dr. Hsin-Yen Yang from FHSU Communication Studies, our very own Dr. Darrell Hamlin, and Ginger Williams, Dean of Library Services, will share what's ahead for the American Democracy Project-- including exciting plans to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's founding.

📸Snap a Back-to-School Pic!: Capture your first day of school fit or pose with friends on Monday, August 17, outside of the Communication Studies, Law, and Political Science office, Rarick Hall 328! We'll have all of the fun photo props you'll need to make the beginning of the semester memorable!

🍉Back-to-School Picnic: Monday, August 17, from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM in the FHSU Quad. Come meet our faculty, grab some swag, or snap a quick pic! We can't wait to see you!

🎓Join us on September 1 at 3:30 PM-4:30 PM in Rarick Hall 311 to learn more about legal careers, how to prepare for law school, and what to expect in the application process. This event is open to ALL majors at every grade level!
