Bravo, Dr. Rohleder-Sook! 👏👏👏

Rural communities can face significant barriers when it comes to learning about legal careers and finding a path to law school. For students in rural areas, limited exposure to the legal profession, resources, and support can make that path less visible.

Last week, Dr. Wendy Rohleder-Sook, chair of the Department of Communication Studies, Law, and Political Science at Fort Hays State University, joined the Law School Admission Council’s “Opening the Door: Rural Pathways to Law School” podcast discussion.

Alongside educators and legal education professionals from across the country, Dr. Rohleder-Sook shared her perspective on how colleges and universities can help rural students better understand opportunities in the legal profession and prepare for the next steps toward law school. Her experience working with pre-law students at a rural university brings an important perspective to a conversation about making those opportunities more accessible.

Listen to “Opening the Door: Rural Pathways to Law School” to hear Dr. Rohleder-Sook and the other panelists discuss ways to expand pathways to legal careers for students in rural communities.
