The Holy Family Prayer

JESUS, Son of God and Son of Mary, bless our family. Graciously inspire in us the unity, peace, and mutual love that you found in your own family in the little town of Nazareth.

MARY, Mother of Jesus and Our Mother, nourish our family with your faith and your love. Keep us close to your Son, Jesus, in all our sorrows and joys.

JOSEPH, Foster-father to Jesus, guardian and spouse of Mary, keep our family safe from harm. Help us in all times of discouragement or anxiety.

HOLY FAMILY OF NAZARETH, make our family one with you. Help us to be instruments of peace. Grant that love, strengthened by grace, may prove mightier than all the weaknesses and trials through which our families sometimes pass. May we always have God at the center of our hearts and homes until we are all one family, happy and at peace in our true home with you. Amen.

The school blessing is a special tradition we celebrate on the first day of the school year. It reminds us that our school is special and God is at the heart of it.

Meet & Greet

Meet & Greet is full of energy and excitement as the students enter the building with their school supplies, ready to see their teacher, classroom, and friends. This event shows us the growth of our students over the summer and gives us a glimpse into our year. The students are taller, more mature, and exude confidence in themselves. We see that the students are ready to learn, ready to emerse themselves in their faith. We are blessed to have them here year after year and to get to do what we do.

A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Amy Woydziak, Title 1 teacher, who offered free books to every student at Meet & Greet.

Back 2 School Bash

Reminder...TONIGHT, Friday, August 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm is the Hays Catholic Schools Back 2 School Bash on the campus of Holy Family Elementary.

The Pfonz Smokehaus & Catering and Taco Riendo will be here.

The Frozen Frog will be here. Every guest receives one free snocone.

The Knights of Columbus will be here providing watermelon.

Emily Hipp, TMP student, will be here selling football squares for a chance to win tickets to the Chiefs/Bronocs game for her Capstone Project.

The TMP Alumni office will be here selling TMP spirit gear.

The TMP sports teams and clubs will be here facilitating activities...
Football=Gaga Ball
Volleyball=9 Square
Golf=putting
FFA =cornhole and roping
Cheer=face painting

Buddy Benches

Thanks to HFE alumnus Aydan Church, we now have 'Buddy Benches' in our playground area!

Aydan chose this for his Eagle Scout Project because he wants every student to feel included and to have someone to play with at recess.

Aydan raised money and asked for donations to purchase the benches. He helped prepare the ground, poured concrete, and built and installed the benches.

Aydan also attended our HFE faculty & staff in-service to present his project. He also donated a “Buddy Bench” book to each classroom.

We are grateful to Aydan for choosing a project that supports our students. We are so blessed that he shared his time & talent with us.

Faculty & Staff Back-to-School Mass

Faculty & staff of Hays Catholic Schools celebrated Mass together as the 2026-2027 school year began. It was a beautiful way for the schools to come together as one for the mission of Catholic education.

In-service

When our faculty & staff met for in-service, we learned some fun facts about each other. Below are some of the things we learned...

Ms. Girard, counselor, has attended over 20 concerts.
Ms. Noble, cook, loves to put puzzles together.
Ms. Aguilar, music teacher, writes her own songs.
Mrs. Ziegelmeier, 2nd grade teacher, can wiggle her ears.
Ms. Fischer, preschool para, is related to Abraham Lincoln.
Mrs. Keil, special education para, survived the 1990 Hesston tornado.

This activity helped us get to know more about each other. We had such fun trying to guess whose fun fact was whose.
