We are inviting professionals and community serving workers to take part in a short study on AI facilitated sexual abuse, digital safety, and gender based violence prevention.

This study includes a short survey, 2 brief educational videos, and a short follow up survey right after. The full process takes about 10 to 20 minutes.

We are especially hoping to hear from people working in:
law and legal services
law enforcement
K to 12 and higher education
victim advocacy and social services
policy and government
healthcare and behavioral health
technology or community based support roles

Your participation is voluntary and anonymous. No names, email addresses, or IP addresses will be collected.

Some of the content touches on AI facilitated sexual abuse and image based abuse, but it is presented in a non graphic, educational format.

Community Photo Contest for Rural Kansas Storytelling with The Facing Project

We invite community members to participate in a photo contest as part of Facing Relationship Violence: A Rural Kansas Storytelling Initiative.

We are seeking photographs that reflect resilience, healing, community care, and hope in rural Kansas. Selected photographs will be featured in the final community book, which will bring together stories and creative expressions that highlight support, strength, and lived experiences within our communities.
Submission deadline: May 1, 2026, by the end of the day

Submission guidelines

You may submit up to 3 original photographs.
Photos should be high resolution, 300 PPI or above, in JPEG or PNG format.

Please include a short caption of 1 to 3 sentences for each photo.
A photo release waiver will be required.

Please avoid including identifiable individuals unless you have their permission.

Please note that all photographs selected for the final published book will appear in black and white. You may submit black and white photos, or note that color images can be converted for publication.

Recognition and incentives
Up to 20 photographs will be selected for inclusion in the final book.

Selected photographers may receive one of three $100 awards:
Community Choice Award
Storytelling Through Image Award
Resilience and Strength Award

Selected contributors may also receive credit in the published book, recognition at the community book launch event, and a free copy of the book.

We’ve officially wrapped up Stage I of our BRIDGE (Building Rural Initiatives for Delivering Growth & Empowerment) project, supported by the NSF Civic Innovation Challenge!

While we were not selected for Stage II funding, we are proud to share the final product and video with our community—highlighting rural justice, access to health services, and the power of local partnerships.

This is just the beginning. We’ll continue advancing community-driven solutions for justice and health across Kansas by seeking new resources and opportunities together.
