HAPPY EARTY Day

Earth Day is all about protecting our earth. The video I have planned did not come out as I planned, mostly time constraints. With that being said, I will try to explain the video here in words.

Global warm is a hot topic for decades, with people on both sides. Why do scientists say Global warming is real and is not the natural cycle.
First, they look at the Temperature charts like these two.

Next, we need to go back thousands of years to see and understand if there is a pattern of climate change and its causes. So they look at the “Scientists use air trapped in the ice to determine the CO2 levels of past climates, whereas they use the ice itself to determine temperature.” (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/ice-core-data-help-solve/)

I encourage everyone to look deeper into this because knowledge is power.

Now, if anyone chooses to plant, remember to use it as a great learning experience for your kids. For example the picture here, we can see plants growing towards the sun. We can rotate the plants and see if they turn back to the sun.
Ask your kids what they think will happen. It may take a day for some plants to do this. Don't forget to share your results

You will hear us talking about how Earth day is critical. So what is Earth day exactly? It is demonstrations in support of our environment’s protection. It was first held on April 22, 1970, and it “led to the passage of landmark environmental laws in the United States, including the Clean Air, Clean Water and Endangered Species Acts and the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).” (2020 www.earthday.org) This is a global effort, with many countries adopted similar laws.
That’s why I ask you to join this movement because our kids will see the effect if we don’t keep making the proper steps forward.
