We are an ACSI accredited Christian school that helps teach young children early reading skills to prepare them for school and Bible stories that teach children about how great our God is. We offer many exciting activities and programs to encourage each student and their family. We have a talented staff that create a fun, positive energy in the classroom.

Great Labor Day trip to “labor” at Grants Basic School this past weekend! We got classrooms ready - and welcomed some super cute kiddos to their new and improved classrooms. Thank you for the amazing support to this sweet little school. They LOVE all the improvements! Bookshelves, bulletin boards, dry erase boards, metal cabinets- for the first time ever! Fresh paint. New swings. New teaching tools. And lots of scrubbing!
To Do, Lord-willing: tables and chairs, desk for the director, rainy day play items, kitchen Reno- faucet, cabinet, shelf, light.

A lovely couple of days with cutest and best kiddos - and some mighty fine HBCPK staff, too!

Wrapped professional development and training with our fabulous team! Learned so much about Puppetry from our Wolf Trap presenter Joe Pipik, Walk Thru the Bible with Dennis Whitmore, Speech, language and Occupational therapy with Piedmont SLP, and ended with tools to become great Christian Educators and the value of partnering with parents for their child’s spiritual growth with Cole Sandlin- Renewanation!! Sweet Devotion time from the Parkes. ❤️ so blessed!
Now onto Room Prep making it cute and adorable for all our wonderful kids!!

Heading back to Grants Basic School for Labor Day Weekend- trying to get this school ready for opening day! If interested, check out the list of needed school supplies. You can also do a donation at the school to our Jamaica fund. I am having bulletin boards and storage cabinets delivered, we are in the midst of having the building painted inside- removing all the peeled paint from the hurricane. Now to decorate it and welcome the children! Anything you shop for will come to our school- please include your name, so we can thank you! Pictures will come soon of all the improvements!May God bless your thoughtfulness to those less fortunate- it is such a blessing to represent all of you!

Hope you enjoyed pictures from the Jamaica school- Grants Basic School in Montego Bay! We left with so much more work to do and a greater understanding of their required curriculum needs. I went thru the lessons for each age group and compiled a big list of needs. I’m hoping to go back for Labor Day and help them get started on a strong footing with tools to do the job. If you feel compelled to help, happy to partner with you. It’s exciting to see the impact HBCPK has had on this little impoverished school. We’ve made a difference and your help, sacrifice and donations have been so welcomed!

A good visit with our sister schools. Brought 3 big suitcases to Cornwall Mountain- start up supplies as they plan to reopen in September- roof on, contractor working on the inside. Spent two days with Grants Basic School. Gathered everything we had shipped in the last container and added a few more shopping trips including new toilets and sinks. It was hot, but got a jungle gym built, a play kitchen and a big caterpillar tunnel. We needed another day or two. We hired a plumber in do the bathroom work- he’s already started. We took everything off the walls and started washing them for the painter who starts next week. We got Miss Marion ( Director) a new refrigerator for the school. So much more to do, hoping we can find a weekend to go down and finish up before school starts. Managed a shopping trip for everyone. Gave much love and support wherever we could with many thanks to so many who contributed financially and with supplies - truly such a blessing represent you to these dear children, teachers and ministry partners (Jamaica Link Ministries). God is good!
