Under Denise’s needle today JAWS! Made by Mary for her nephew who is a huge JAWS fan. Gotta love those prairie point teeth. Mary chose a simple wave pattern with a silver glide thread. I think you’ll agree this is a very fun quilt. Now to take the basting off the prairie points.

Under Suzi’s needle today. A charity quilt made by a HAVQG member with fabric recently donated. What a wonderful treasure we received. We chose Paisley loop pattern and a light brown thread to accent.

Under Denise’s needle today is a quilt made with Liberty Fabrics. Alana chose “Love Always, AM” Anna Maria lace fabric for the backing and a bamboo batting. She opted for a daisy pattern for the quilting with Glide Pink Lemonade thread. Love those Liberty and Anna Maria fabrics. Going to make someone a great quilt.

Under Denise’s needle today was a cute green and white quilt made by Jen. Jen chose a hearts and loops pattern, Quilter’s Dream 80/20 batting, and Glide cream thread and a white crackle backing. Jen made up her own pattern using some of the techniques she learned in classes. I’m sure someone will be a happy recipient of this quilt.

Under Denise’s needle is a fun children’s quilt made by Alana for her daughter. She chose Glide Affinity Grain of color thread, on the pastel quilt with Quilter’s Dream Bamboo batting. The backing is Tula Pink’s Fairy Dust and Alana chose an edge-2-edge pattern called Fairy wings. I think you’ll agree this will make a six year old very happy!

A great big thank you to everyone who came to the Fabric/Fiber sales event today! Our guild, Hands Across the Valley Quilters Guild sold a significant amount which will help the guild buy batting and other essentials to put quilts out to those in need in our communities. We couldn’t have done it without each one of you. From all of us, me (Denise), Suzi, Trish, Rachel, Amy, Carl, Holly, Joyce and Emily. Thank you!

So very proud of Pat who finished her first quilt today. The fabrics are mostly batiks in rich blues and purples. She chose a wool batting and a quilt pattern called let love bloom. She used Glide Military Gold thread for the quilting. I think you’ll agree, she did an awesome job on her first quilt!
