I have had several of you ask what to do with the cutwork files that come with a purchased embroidery design — especially OESD collections.

In this video, I show you how to use the included cutwork files and how to create your own cutwork files from the appliqué lines in a purchased design using BERNINA V9 software. I walk through how these files are structured so you can confidently send them to your embroidery machine and stitch them correctly.

You’ll see:
• How to identify cutwork files in a purchased design collection
• What CW or cutwork labels mean
• How placement, tack-down, and cutting lines work
• How to create cutwork files from appliqué lines in the purchased design
• What not to resize or rotate
