Discovery of Learning Discovery of Learning Homeschool Programs offer multi-age learning environments for children PreK - HS

Children are guided by a teacher with a child-centered, developmental, project based, hands on approach.The teacher works collaboratively with the parents participating in the classroom to provide guidance and individualized instruction that is tailored for each child. In the learning environment, each child feels emotionally safe to explore, discover and learn at his or her own pace and in his or her own way, with the support of a teacher and volunteer parents who are trained in Non-Violent (Compassionate) Communication. Students are also able to build their own community of friends and relationships, during lunch and outdoor exploration time since they are eating and playing together. Children are given daily opportunities to problem solve and use conflict resolution skills between themselves, in a safe and nurturing environment.
